I just saw the Sirius / XM App for the Iphone 3G/3GS. Its about $3 dollars a month. Which is pale in comparison to the price you pay for the car.
There's a 7 day trial for people that want to try it first. I'm going to start it tomorrow and see how it is.
This will only work if you have the Dension Gateway 500 and use the Iphone in GW UI mode.
I also saw that it did not have howard stern, NFL/MLB playbyplay, and Nascar.
So if you guys wanted XM / Siruis, this is the route to go if you dont have it on your e60. Also dont forget you can use PAndora or any other app on the iphone to listen to things.

Nice find. For $3/mo, do you need to sign up for 1 yr or something? or just pay as you go.
You have to pay as you go I believe. You got the dension?!?! when?! Try out the free trial first and see how you like it. I hear people complain about it compared to Pandora (free) or Last FM. I believe if you have XM/Sirius on another car, you can have an account, but you have to upgrade something. Not sure of the details.
If people like XM / Sirius, this is a good move. IF people dont want to spend money, try Last.fm or pandora on the iphone.

My Ride: I have an 05 545i. It's a manual with a few options. This is my first BMW but I don't know how I'll ever be able to switch to something else.
I love using pandora on my ipod. I prefer it over last.fm personally, but if you are looking for another program where you can actually pick which song you want to listen to rather than having it on random play, you should try out the imeem application.
You can search for specific artist, a playlist about an artist/genre/movie/whatever. Its very nice when your trying to find that ONE song to play

No Dension yet. I just read the reviews on the XM app. People are trashing it due to the $3 monthly fee, I have XM on my other car and I don't think I want to pay more for it. Pandora and Last.FM are good for now. Thanks.
