You can temporarily override that by pressing the right soft key on the RAZR. That will let the BT link free up from the car without unpairing.
I'll assume you don't have NAV on your E60?

That's cool, If I can link and unlink with a push of a button, I'll give it a try.
You need to press the I-Drive down, Communications, Bluetooth and then uncheck the Active setting to activate the speakerphone when the VZ NAV is on. Since I assume you don't have NAV on your car, I understand the frustration, having to choose between Bluetooth or VZ NAV w/ voice and switching back and forth.

Wm,
Didn't get a chance to post but I did try it and a few other things without much luck. I also checked out the VZ Nav in my sister-in-law's Tahoe, it's an after-market Parrot but the thing works great and the VZ Nav's speaker can be heard through the unit's speaker.
I'm sure there's an answer but I'm a little weary of trying to find it.
Dreary day today in NJ huh? Glad I got most of the yardwork done yesterday

On the Bluetooth, is has to be the worst protocol ever written. Problem is that there is no enforcement of the standards because the cell phone carriers hack the phones after they get them approved to use the BT logo. Here is a great site that explains why: CanYouHearUsNow
My wife's Lexus still can not work with any Verizon phone for the phonebook transfer.

WM,
Exactly! That's what so damn confusing. As far as I know, no other BT interface does that except the BMW's. So far, I've been in 5 vehicles with BT or aftermarket BT and the Verizon NAV, or should we say, speaker phone option, works fine. Damn frustrating.

Well, consider yourself lucky if you have full phone capability over your Verizon phone. Lexus owners still can't upload their phonebooks, and LG stopped supporting BMW beginning with the Chocolate.
Bluetooth is a very loose standard.

Wn,
I would be interested in seeing if the KRazr loses it's speaker functionality when synced with BT in the E60.
