I'm looking at trading in my Motorola V710 for the new 6700 smart phone from Verizon. It's too new to have made the BMW list of approved Bluetooth phones, so I was wondering if anyone has info on compatibility?

Thanks in advance for your help!

I paired my xv6700 during my test drive and it paired, but I could not see if the phonebook transferred ok or not. I am curious to know if that will happen or not. I know it pairs with the car though, if that helps!

Thanks! I'm planning on buying the 6700 this weekend. I'll let you know if I can get the phone book to down load.

I have this phone and it does pair with the car but the phone book doesn't transfer. In addition I had some trouble making calls. In general, it will likely be a frustrating experience. I'm running CIP v20.xx on a January production 550i.

Fortunately I have a "personal" phone account with Cingular and I just added another handset to our family plan with a V557. Works perfectly.

Hey AMP... just bought the XV6700. You're right, it does pair but without the phone book. I can dial using the "dial number" voice command, but not the "dial name" feature. I'm looking at trying out a software fix to enable this function...
