Prior postings are well-scattered and somewhat confusing. Does Verizon currently offer a Bluetooth enabled phone that works reasonably well in an E60? If so, which one? Does it have significant shortcomings from a compatiblity standpoint? If so, what are they. I know there are regional differences. I live in Pennsylvania. I would be very interested in hearing about your recent experiences. Prior postings indicate that the Motorola RAZR is the best phone for an E60, but that the RAZR is only offered by Cingular. Does anybody know whether Verizon plans to offer the RAZR or any other good option. Some have mentioned that Verizon phones need some extra cost tweaking to work on an E60. Can you point me to any detailed information on that? Thanks for your help.
the verizon phone you need for BT is the V710, but there are many problems...Verizon is not allowing full BT, as they are trying to rip us off more than usual. So, in order to use the phone, you have to hack it and flash the memory. I have the phone but not the car yet!, but there are a few members who have gotten it to work ok once the flash has been done... do a search and you will find the post and web site that offers the instructions on how to do this... Also, though, Verizon has been saying they will correct the problem themselves and allow full BT, but they have been tell me that since August....

At least, the V710 from Motorola does not work with E60's Blue Tooth due to the fact that V710 does not allow the phone book to be downloaded to the car. While E60 is waiting for the phone book to be download, and timeout, reset itself. This causes the Blue tooth link to "come & go".
Cingular phones work fine.

Verizon can not offer the RAZR as they use a CDMA network and the RAZR is a GSM phone.

So the answer is no, Verizon does not offer a good BT option.

yes, after the hack all functionality seems to work OK

[/quote]Please point me to something that explains what is involved in the hack. Verizon wants $419.99 for the V710 unless I wait until I have had my non-BT phone for 22 months. That is a long way off.
