I have a Verizon Blackberry 9530 that links fine with my 550i. The only problem is that it only downloads a portion of my contact list. Each time it downloads names from A-T but nothing after that. I had an 8830 that worked perfectly and downloaded the entire contact list.

Anyone else have this issue? Any fixes?

Nope. Never updated. I have software version 4.7.0.75 which i think is the most recent.

BMW4Ever had the same issue. Apparently, you have to unlock your phone. Please see this:

Do you have any idea how many contacts you have in total? There is a memory limitation on the car that, if reached, will not allow the full book to download. The other possibility (aside from anything already suggested) is that you have a "contact group" defined on the BB. If you do, the car burps on it and won't allow it or anything after it to transfer...

Guys,

So its safe to say the 9530 will work OK with our cars? I go through this every 12 months when the company gives me an
updated device. First it was the Razr, then the Q (sucks) and now the Storm if I choose.

thanks in advance

Thanks for the replies. Been out of the country on business so I'm slow to respond.

My company uses BES but my phone is not locked. While I don't know the number of contacts I have I don't think that's the problem since I had an 8830 World Phone before the Storm and had no issues transferring all of the contacts (same number as now).

I'll talk to my IT guy and see if he can find anything in the phone that would limit the number of contacts transferred.

Well that's great news. The Q's connection to BT last for a minute or two and then people comment that I sound like I'm playing a gizzoo. Thanks in again.
