Yes, I have a standard 6230 and the BT works fine. I will get a cradle when one becomes available and hope it works... the battery drain on BT is very strong.

My Ride: Delivered 30/11/04: 535d Sport, Carbon Black, Black Dakota leather, Media Package, Hi-Fi, Rear M Spoiler, Headlamp Washer, Auto dim/folding mirrors, Grad tint screen, Aux input,
For what it's worth the 6230 will work (sim card memory compatible) if it has the new firmware installed.
To check press *#0000# if you have v05.35 or above it should work.
To get firmware upgrade take your phone to any Nokia service centre. It takes ten minutes and should be done for free.
One interesting thing I have noticed is that I use the 'phone memory' because I can use multiple entries for the one name. When you copy these onto the sim they appear
David1
David2
David3
So I then had to change it to (sim entry 14 letters max)
David Hse
David Wk
David Mbl
The interesting part (if you are still awake ) is that now some of the names appear on the iDrive in their full 'phone memory' length (much longer than 14 letters) And i've absolutely no idea why
On the Snap adapter my only observation is that my old 7210i nokia car kit used a proximity booster for the aerial as the new 'pop port' connector (silly nokia phrase) which the 6230 and 6230i use do not hard wire. If the new snap adapter does not incorporate an aerial connection of some kind then the ?100 price tag will effectively be just to charge your phone, which seems a little steep.
On that note does anyone want to buy a snap adapter for a 6310i?

Re: Nokia 6230i snap-in adaptor
My dealer (Sycamore BMW, Peterborough) tells me that this part is available in Germany from 17 June. I've got one on order. No news on price yet. Will report back if & when it arrives :-)
