Will the iDrive recognize both phones or will one have to be shut down. Sorry if this has been asked before but I did not see it after doing a search.

The car will only pair with one phone at a time. You can pair each one individually then change use iDrive to change the way the car prioritizes the pairings. You just need to arrange the phone up or down the list of paired phones.

Once everything is set up, there won't be any need to turn phones off but only the higher priority phone will be paired. The other phone will work normally (no BT). If the higher priority phone is turned off, the other phone will pair automatically, etc.
