I may have spoken too soon! There is some discussion on one of the treo boards that some contacts are being shown but not 100%. I have not done a one-on-one comparison to my contacts so I shouldn't have said that all my contacts are there. I can say that it sure looks like it though! One poster on the other board did count and said that 63 of her 200+ contacts were shown (she only had 4 favorites). She also said it wasn't any specific category. I'll try to look at mine more thoroughly tomorrow.
I am about to receive my new 680.

Two questions:

1) what number is displayed in the i.drive if you have registered more phone numbers for a contact?
2) what is the forum you were referring to?

Thanks

I think I have figured it out. I believe the numbers that are showing up are directly from my sim card (I am assuming that is what the little blue and gold symbol means after the phone number in my contacts). As such, they are not true contacts. I notice that I can't open them as a contact. And they only have one number associated with them. It would have to be an actual contact to have more than one number associated with it. I've just assumed that these were duplicates that I needed to clean up in my contact list. I will need to research to figure out why some of my numbers are saved to my sim card but the regular contacts aren't.

The treo forum I was referring to is treocentral.com. There is also treonauts.com and mytreo.net.

That makes more sense now. I had doubts that Palm would be able to implement such a drastic change to the way it handles the BT contacts but was encouraged by your preliminary report.

With this latest information, I don't feel the need to look back as I migrate to the wonderful BlackBerry after many, many years of using the Palm platform...

I got the 680 and only my favorites transfer. Weird huh? I actually like it that way because I have several numbers for each of my contacts and I do not think the little mouse running on the wheel inside the iDrive could handle that amount of complexity. Or maybe it could but first you would have to get a $500 adaptor, have it "professionally" installed twice, then it would convert the contacts to a playlist on your cd changer you just had "prefoessionally" removed, and then go back to the dealership for a CIP upgrade.

I received my treo 680 and all my SIM numbers are displayed. Strange that the only SIM contact I put in the favorites list is not displayed !!!!
Phone pairing has been really easy and so far the voice quality is good.
