So with the 650 do all functions work with BMW Bluetooth (including phonebook transfer, originating a call, receiving a call, etc.)?.....or are there some features that don't work?

Yes! Please tell us all the items that work! I am moments from buying the Sprint Treo 650 to replace my 600.

the phone book transfers fine but the caller id doe snto function propertly yet. also if you dail from your phone the number comes up unknows. keep in mind that most of this stuff can probably be fixed by software updates to the treo 650.

your good if thhey give you the right software for the car. in my case they didnt, i had to wait 2 months to get the dealer to agree with me.
I just bought a treo 650 and my 545i was produced on 1/14/05. Will I need a s/w upgrade to make it work or am I good?

I'm a new member too. It seems many are in the same boat wrt to getting the Treo 650 working in the E-60. I was told by the dealer on Friday (Jan 22 '05) that BT was not available on my 530i (June build), that it was only available on '05 models, and that he hadn't seen any. A good friend (member too) sent me the Technical Service Bulletin, which I faxed to the dealer. 42 apologies later they said they would try to have it ready for me tomorrow (Monday)... we'll see. It would be great to have a checklist of things required to get a Treo working in a BMW: Treo software required (incuding version), BMW Software required (including version), specific instructions to dealer (service bulletin etc). If I can get mine working right, I'll try to document the process.
For whoever needs it, the Service Bulletin is attached.
A call initiated from the handset shows unknown number even with the V3. Caller ID works well for incoming calls and calls initiated through I-drive.
For whoever needs it, the Service Bulletin is attached.

My Ride: 2005 530i - Titanium Silver / Black :: Sport/Appearance
Great News...I am a 600 user and have been anxiously awaiting the GSM version of the 650. I got my hands on the CDMA (Sprint) version and like the curved keyboard and higher quality camera. I've got an 05 build 530i and want to get this combo working.
Everyone...please keep posting your sucess' with this combination.
