I took my 05 in for a State Inspection and a Emission Inspection as mandated by the idrive service indicator. When the SA was writing me up she said ......your inline for a recall on your TCU......now I have written numberous statements concerning the poor performance of my bluetooth including 2 seperate phones (S/E 637 & RAZR V3) which still was horrible when connected, so I was pleasantly surprised.

I dropped the car off Tuesday and the BMW dealer hooked me up with a Hundyi Sonata, but its been 2 days that they have kept the car. When I called tonight about 5 PM I was told by the SA that they had to replace the TCU and it takes all day to reprogram the car computer, I said OK... but its been 2 days. She was very apologetic but I still don't have my wheels.

I'm hoping this recall or whatever they want to call it FINALLY resolves the poor bluetooth problems. When I get the recall number or bulletin number I will be sure to post it. Apparently most people with the bluetooth in year 05 have complained enough for BMW to do something about it.

So I guess what I want to say is if you have a TCU problem check with your dealer to see if your car is in line for a new one and a pereformance upgrade.
