Snap in Cradle for Nokia 6300

This may have been answered before; I have an 06, 525D se with Professional nav and Bluetooth.
My Nokia 6300 works fine though Bluetooth but I was thinking of getting a snap-in cradle to charge the phone and use the Arial.
When the phone is in the cradle will it use Bluetooth or is it ?hardwired? to the iDrive?
