So my Audiovox SMT 5600 with Windows Mobile 5 build 14847.2 works perfectly with the Bluetooth system in my 06 530i. All my contacts where uploaded into my 530i without a hitch, and I was able to make and receive calls without a problem. This particular build of Windows Mobile 5 has bluetooth profiles for BMW and Acura specifically, so I had to see if it would work in my car. I can report that it works flawlessly. Its likely that any Smartphone with this build of Windows Mobile 5 will work fine with BMW Bluetooth systems.

Everyone will have to wait until carriers release Windows Mobile 5 with this build. I'm not too sure when carriers will have this build though. How did I get this build? I'm beta testing this version and I just happened to get an 06 530i recently, so I thought e60.net members would like to know that it works without a hitch in our cars

Thanks for the update -- BTW, aren't you under some sort of NDA as a beta tester?
