I know there are some SlingBox owners out there in E60 land who use a BlackBerry so, after a long year's wait, it's officially available -- the SlingPlayer mobile for BB!!

Damn! No Slingplayer Mobile was one of the reasons that I didn't get an iPhone a few months ago! I bet they wouldn't have let me use my license key from when I bought the Windows Mobile version though. The app is $30 for the other versions - I wonder how much Apple will charge.
Oh, and that's really bad news for AT&T users. God help us when every iPhone is sucking down ~250Kbps for this (I get about that or more on my 3G Q).

Yes. It's called "place shifting". Think of it this way... it's as if you ran an incredibly long coax cable connection from the wall jack in your house to the phone in your pocket - a phone that you crammed your cable box and television into.
You're using the Internet and mobile data networks to provide this "virtual coax cable".

Believe it or not, my license key from a few years ago (when they released the WM version for free for a limited time) worked with my BB version! Sling Media, as a company, rocks!!
Yup! The one thing I respect more than anything though is how they have been able to offer all the newest features on the oldest hardware. Even though they have released many new iterations of the Slingbox, my original unit still does all the new stuff - no obsolescence issues with these guys. Fantastic products.
