Signal strength display icon

I've seen pictures where the phone signal strenght is also displayed near the small antenna icon on iDrive screen.

My Nokia E50 does not download address book at all so I tried Nokia 6300. This one is downloading address book and works ok, but still no signal strenght indicator.

What Nokia phones can also display this signal strenght indicator in iDrive status bar?

Very few Nokias are fully compatible. As you can tell, your E50 is barely compatible.

I would recommend trying Sony Ericsson mobiles.

The TCU you have is different than the one in NA markets so what works for me won?t necessarily work for you.

You might try a firmware update on the phone. My Motorola Q didn't have signal strength with the original firmware. It gained the capability after it was updated.

That is quite strange. Can you tell me what software your phone has? Type *#0000# and it will display it.

Mine shows:
