Just got a used 2005 545i sport in Alpine White fully loaded. Today I purchased the A900 phone from sprint and tried the blue tooth mode and it worked perfectly the first time.

So if your looking for a sprint phone that works with the e60, try this one.

regards.

That's great news since I am about to pick up my car and already have that phone. How does the address book feature work??

Thanks.

I want to get that phone as well but I read there were tons of problems with it. Let us know because if there are no problems I am going to go pick one up. Thanks.

Check and see if your address book transferred to your car. You do not have to do anything separate. So if it is there it is there if not then it is not going to transfer. I have read many threads that indicate that the phone will allow to make and recieve calls but nothing else. I am truly hoping that it does work because I need a new phone for my wife.

It works for making and recieving calls but it didn't transpher the phone book. I will look into this when I have more free time. At least the phone works for calling and recieving calls.

Might be a setting. Should the phone book transpher automaticly?

Phonebook transfers automatically. From what I have read that phone will not work completely. There is only one fully compatible Sprint from what I have read and that is the samsung 920. And that phone is not listed as compatible on the BMW website. The Treo works but as on all networks is limited to only using speed dials. I am going to get the 920 and give it a whirl.

Did your Samsung 920 phone work with the Bluetooth? I am trying to find a phone that will work on my E60 (including transferring the phone book) but without having to buy a Treo 650 as I don't need all it's functions. I have Sprint. Thanks for the info!

The Samsung 920 works great. All the functions seem to work well. It is just a little clunky. The Sprint guy said a new version of the blade is coming out that will address bluetooth and battery issues in mid july. The new blade will probably work with the car. What you could do is try the 920 for the 30 day trial period and then trade it in when the new samsung blade comes in.

Thanks, I am still trying to decide on the A920 and the Treo 650. Now that I know the 920 works I will probably try it. If the new 900 Blade comes out I can always switch for that or the Treo 650.
