I know this is an issue with the X5's. Is it possible to make a 10/03 build E60 Bluetooth compatible for my cell phone?

Thanks in advance.

I had the first bluetooth retrofit in the the US on an e60. It will not work on e60's built prior to March 04.

Also please put in your location because it makes the board more interesting and effective.

This Service Information Bulletin should give you all the information you require. I believe this is North America only though, cannot comment for sure for Thailand.

That seems about right. You probably need a new TCU and coding. I think the TCU is about $1200 to $1500 in the US.

Blue Tooth has got to be one of the coolest free features these days...I wish more auto makers would make it standard equipment or at least optional. Everyday, I see some fool driving irresponsibly...with cell phone to their ear!

Correction Pharding or it may just be my car but i have intergrated bluetooth and my car is a July 03 build that i brought new in October of 03 had the dealer retro fit the BTUM that they could not get working. So they replaced the TCU and viola intergrated bluetooth and limited voice commands. OH yeah the best thing is it was completly freeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee.

Correct. There is no reason that an E60 from SOP cannot have Bluetooth with a new TCU. It will cost dearly however in most cases.

I couldn't enable bluetooth for my car (April 2004 build) so I had to settle for a Plantronic bluetooth headset instead.
