We have a new 08 535i and after we pair up the phone to the bluetooth, it works perfectly. Come out the next day and have to go through the entire pairing process every time we get back in the car. Shouldn't this this thing stayed paired up when we get back into the car?

Yes it should stay paired all the time. I have 2 phones paired with my car. Whenever you get the phones close to the car they pair up automatically.
