My Ride: 04' 545i SMG , Oriental Blue, Congiac Leather Interior, Nav., Park Assist, Logic 7, Sports Pkg, Cross drilled slotted rotors, ceramic pads, SS Brake lines, free flow air filter and a supercharger (coming soon)etc.....all the good stuff
I found a 2005 BMW OEM Bluetooth/Assist Telematics Control Unit (TCU). The part number is :
84 10 6 963 798
This came from a 2005 330ci. Can anyone tell me if this will fit in my 545i and if it does, doeas anyone have an installation diagram? My car has the phone capabilities, but no bluetooth. It was manufactured 03/04, and instead of going to the dealer and getting the attachment form them, I thought I might be able to do this myself along wioth an installation guide.
The TCU will work in the E46 3-Series and the E53 X5 vehicles produced between 3/2004 and 5/2006 as per the BMW technical services bulletin SIB84 13 04. It is possible it will work in other models
Is this true?
Please help?
Chris

I don't think it will work and even if it did, you'd need the dealer to program the car to make it function...
appreciate the honesty though.
Is there anyway I can see where this module goes inthe vehicle though a diagram?

Thanks for the link. Now let me ask you this.....Since that TCU came from a 2005 330, does it make a difference, or is the tcu the same thoughout all the models, since it's main priority is for the blutooth?

My understanding is that the E60 TCU is not the same as the 3 Series TCU...
