Professional Phone-Insert sim card???

Guys I have a 2004 6 series with in BMW phone (Motorola). It says insert sim, I have tried all sim cards but none work.

Has anyone had this issue?

I called BMW they said I need a dual sim card? I called vodafone but they have not heard of this???

Pls has anyone had this issue or any ideas? Many thanks.

I don't have this, but a colleague of mine used to when he had his 7-series (and he was with Vodafone). I think it may be a second SIM card on the same contract (i.e. the same mobile number) as your main mobile phone.

What did sound odd to me was that he told me he couldn't have GPRS enable on his primary SIM while if he also had a dual SIM too.

Hope this helps you get more from Vodafone than you did when you last spoke to them.

Hi I have the same problem with my e60 530i .I also tried different sims.
My service told me that the eject box is dead.They ordered a new eject box for the handset.
Bluetooth connection is succesfull with the handset but phone doesnt read any sim card.

yes its strange. I was told that any sim card should work. In the USA they put any sim in and divert calls etc.

I am with orange so switching to vodafone isnt really an option. Its such a shame and especially as this phone cost ?800 when new.
