has anyone successfully been able to play music off their BlackBerry's via the USB? i would assume the iDrive should pick up the BlackBerry as a mass storage device when its enabled, therefore it should play the music stored on it. unfortunately, it doesn't recognize it. WEIRD!

if you have the 6fl/usb option...you could always just use a thumb drive....
and AFAIK, no one has been able to play music thru their BB via the usb port in their e60...

My Ride: 2009 535xi Platinum Gray. M sport, Premium, Cold, Logic, PDC, Sirius, and Bamboo.
I've used both my BB and a thumb drive in my USB port. No problem with either.
I bought a 32GB to load and leave in the car. Getting the thumb drive in and out of the car's USB port is not that easy! So, I also picked up a 6" USB extension cable to make it much easier to remove/install the thumb drive.

what bb and OS version are you using?
These cars are so damn intollerant of anything outside the norm.
I'm hoping that it has forgiven me by morning and will play my thumb drive again. Or else it will back to the dealer again.

My mistake BB didn't work afterall. I just gave it another try but and it didn't work. No only that, after the failed attempt to read the BB, my car didn't recognize the thumb drive when I plugged it back in! As if to say FU....
