Phone in Trunk

My wife reports that if you accidentally drop your bluetooth phone into a bag of groceries while loading them into the trunk and driving off, the phone will still synch with the car. This double blind experiment was conducted over the weekend.

Yup once mine was upstairs and the car was idling in the driveway and I saw the phone Icon... I was like WTF!

I often leave my phone in my briefcase, and put the briefcase in the trunk. There's never a problem pairing.
