Palm Treo 700p from Verizon
#1
Has anyone been able to pair this phone? Mine eventually does, but only partly. Major problems. Former Verizon Motorola phones worked flawlessly. I know that the Palm smartphones from Verizon are not officially supported by BMW, but it seems like it could work. Does anyone know how?

Tried pairing my Treo 700P from Sprint today...Not working at all...Treo 650 worked excellent with the car...I figured the 700p would work as well...Anyone have luck pairing it?

My Treo 700p (Verizon) is working well with my '05 530. Only the numbers in the speed dial section transfer over to the idrive and, even then, only under certain conditions. The numbers in the speed dial section CANNOT have anything other than numbers in the number (i.e. no dots, dashes, parentheses, #'s, *'s or anything else) Anything other than numbers and the whole thing freezes. Additionally, you cannot use the "extra digits" section of the speed dials. After adjusting to these rules, I have had NO problems at all.

I have paired my Verizon 700p with my 550i. It works 90% of the time without any problems. The main problem is when it initially connects via bluetooth. If it fails to connect, I just turn off BT on my phone for a few minutes, and then turn it back on. It usually connects the second time around.

Any further comments on the Verizon 700P?
I'm either going to get this or a Treo 650, preferably the 700P for greater features, advancements, speed, etc., but the functionality w/ my 545i bluetooth is critical .
What would make the 700P less likely to consistently pair and stay connected than the 650?
