Has anyone encountered problems pairing a 2007 E60 with a Palm Pre? I am unable to upload my address book.. can some one help?

 

I have a Palm Pre and when I first synced the Bluetooth the address book worked sometimes and sometimes it wouldn't work. At one point my Bluetooth link would not work at all so I re synced the phone to the car again and the address book seems to be pretty stable now.

The Palm bluetooth is buggy, sometimes I answer the phone in the car via the steering wheel button and the music turns off and then turns back on and I realize I need to talk into the phone. Sometimes the recently called list works, sometimes it doesn't. Sometimes after the car is off the phone still thinks its in handsfree mode and when I make a call I can't hear anything.

I used to have a Windows phone and although the OS was terrible the Bluetooth functions worked flawlessly.

As I remember my initial Pre-pairing experience, it took a little tinkering and then, for no apparent reason, it started working great.

The Pre has worked as well in my car as the Treo did. The only area I wish was improved has to do with contacts. The Pre transfers the entire contact list to the car - every name and telephone you have. Not a good thing if you have a large contact list. I've had to create a short list (about 70 or so) to make this a manageable functon.
