Usually on anything new (Service Bulletins or product releases) I try to make it a new thread so it is easier to find. I had not looked at Eddie's thread for awhile so I missed u posting. If I had seen it I would not have bothered with this thread. But two times is better than none I always say (I think she said that too )
It's a good thing you did, b/c it was buried in Eddie's thread. Not sure too make people would have known to go and look there for information about the release of the RAZR cradle. Thanks for posting the thread!

2x is always better than none!

All I can say is..... too late.

I've had my RAZR since Nov. 2004. I ditched it last week. Too late on that one, BMW.

I can't believe we haven't heard from Eddie Presley yet

================================================== ===============

Thanks Jiio for the vital e60 Razr cradle information you sent me! Today I visited Hank Aaron BMW parts, and presented to the BMW parts man four copied color pictures of the e60 cradle, with the Motorola Razr V3c in it, along with the BMW part number that you provided me with, and he was just shaking his head in disbelief, and was quite surprise when he actually saw it was true on his Computer screen, and listed for around $126.00 + TAX! He told me he had not heard about it yet from BMW NA, and was quite surprise and happy with this news from the e60 forum, because he could now tell his other BMW customers who had been wanting it for the e60 cradle their Razr's for some time, but the main thing is many thanks to the BMW owner (s), at this e60 forum, I got my e60 Cradle on backorder with 48 others today at Hank Aaron BMW, and I am told I will have it soon just as it is release by BMW NA for ordering...

In conclusion: A Special Thanks to: Cobradav and Jiio for making this BMW e60 cradle info all possible to the forum, me and Hank Arron BMW parts. :thumbsup

Sincerely,

Eddie

PS,

Before the e60 forum findings we BMW owners here in Atlanta GA had no encouragement what so ever from our BMW dealers, and was being told BMW might be producing a cradle for the Razr in the next couple of years! :thumbsdown: :thumbsdown: :'(

I have been following a thread in another forum regarding the RAZR cradle. Apparently, there are other hidden costs besides the cradle. Total cost might be between $400 - $500. http://www.bimmerfest.com/forums/sho...d.php?t=142849.

Sorry, I thought everybody was aware that the cradles are just one of several parts required. Not up on MY06 and MY07 options but 05s and before require an specific eject box (cradle fits into this part), trim pieces and the odd nuts and bolts. Several threads early on in this forum detail parts and cost, mine included. Haven't the time to go looking right now, but your estimate is pretty close. You have to decide early on if charging and connecting to external antenna are what u really need. I do not know what the impact is say on those really old models (pre 03/2004) that converted from CPT9000 to Bluetooth via the BTUM. Have no clue as to cradle adaptation or not or if even needed.

I think I can help you save all that money. I removed my plug in flash light. Bought the $8 adaptor for the glovebox and charge my phone in there when I am driving. Sure, it does not look nearly as cool as a dedicated hardwired adaptor but it does the trick. The Bluetooth picks up the signal just fine and it is safely out of the way. It also leaves the phone compartment in my armrest free for the really important things like dental floss and change.

Well, its easy to plug the phone in to get it charged, but you are not getting the benefit of the external antenna.
