Had BT installed today, picking up car tomorrow morning.. However, mechanic called me this afternoon (friendly with him), and said all software upgrade and changes OK..but he said NO optic cable is needed, or is already installed. I repeated myself twice, stating I understood he had to connect an existing cable, and he insisted he did 12 of these in 2 weeks, and no cable needed..

what's the deal folks?

My guess is that he is right. It was probably instuctions that we gave them from Pharding's retrofit. It seemed strange to me that BMW would leave a cable disconnected. We will know in a few hours won't we. So Andy, which phone are you going to use? I want to hear if BT meets your exacting standards.
