nokia n95 sat nav voice commands only working with bluetooth off

managed to pair n95(new 8gb model) with 07 plate e60 easily enough didnt do contacts transfer yet
now i think i may have figured out why voice commands werent working on sat nav after hours of frustration
tried it with bluetooth turned off on phone earlier today and it worked fine
anybody experience this
hopefully there is a solution/ work around on this?
