Just got a new E71 to replace my faulty N91. Finally, have the whole phonebook transferred to my E60 .
I used a 6 digit passcode to pair up after reading somewhere this helps to connect to the car and transfer the phonebook across. I'm sure the E60 SW update I got earlier helped too.
Excellent phone, love it!

I'm expecting my new Nokia E71 any day now. My old one, the Nokia 6230i than will be replaced. Can you inform me how you managed to change the "snap in" holder to the size of the E71 as the dealer doesn't have the answer.

Concerning the snap in adapter - I don't have one. The BT connection works fine by itself. Thinking of getting the Nokia CR-106 cradle holder later on just to have a nice place to put the phone when in the car.
One thing I noticed with the BT pairing is the phone will not play any music or give out any audible directions from the inbuilt E71 Nav because it seems the BT audio profile gets activated. I also noticed with my N91 that when it was paired to the car, inserting the 3.5mm cable for Audio-Aux disabled the BT pairing. I need to confirm the same with the E71 but need to get a 2.5mm to 3.5mm adapter first so that the existing cable will work.
Aduh - I guess the reason you may not have full integration with your car and the E71 is the SW level of your car. My car recently had a TCU replacement which meant new SW also. You could try to send the contacts to the car via BT one by one and see if that works.

How do actually transfer the address book from E71? If I select all the contacts, the phone does not give the option to send them via bluetooth as e.g. the N73 does?

Does any one know if the latest firmware for the Nokai E71 (200.21.118) solves the dropping BT connection during a call issue as highlighted in this thread:
