Hi AlanM ... weeks ago, when my E60 arrived, I used advice on this very message board to change my phone to the 6230i, given that a snap-in adaptor was just around the corner.
So I ordered it from my dealer in late May: I believe the first units arrived in the UK w/c 11th July. My order was on the system for around 6 weeks therefore.
It works a treat, a really satisfying fit.

I ordered mine and it was in the Garage 2 days later. I think BMW UK have a lot of stock as people have been waiting for it for a while.

Mine arrived today. And guess what...
It even works with a standard NOKIA 6230 - with older software on. It charges, the aerial indication goes to full power when plugged in (I tested it!) and the BT works OK!
I have been using this phone with the BT for the past 2 months - but good to see I can use the 6230i on order for my good lady!

Sorry, O.T., but looking at the picture of your 535d Alan, what is it behind the front grille just to the N/S of centre ? I have the same and thought is must be the GPS aerial but wasn't sure.

I have begged NOKIA to do the software upgrade on the phone that is necessary but they refuse as they say it is Cingular that allows this, not them.
Please let me know if your experience has been different...
