I collect my car in a few days. I have got bluetooth and I have paired the phone with the car but addresses dont show. I am told that i need a firmware upgrade to the phone (5.35) but unsure whether this will solve the problem??

Yes, it will solve ur problem once you have 5.35 Firmware. Most old 6230 phones used to have 4.44 version.
