Need help with blackBerry Curve phone

Was able to successfully pair the phone thru BMW bluetooth, however when i pull up the phone book it stops at J. My previous phone, Samsung Blackjack II did not have this problem. Any help would be appreciated.

I sync the BlackBerry with my Outlook at work, so I have approx. 1000 contacts. That could be the issue, but did not have that problem with the Samsung phone??

I have over 800 contacts in my Outlook contacts folder and my Blackberry Storm syncs with both Outlook and then downloads to the address book. However I have noticed that if I change contacts in Outlook it re-downloads the address book and it can take some time for the whole address book to be downloaded - however it finally achieved it (I think after about 10 minutes).
