was stolen from her class...in los angeles......so I called Verizon and because I signed a one year contract they will not sell me the phone for 69.00 but want 179....I found a BMW cpt9000 slightly used (checked ESN with Verizon) and is clean - for 245....what do you guys think...go for it

 

sorry to hear that . did you get insurance from verizon? if you did, normally they'll send you another phone for free.

did you purchase the phone w/credit card? if you did, i think they have some kind of insurance, too.

 

Alohalc is right. If you got it with Amex gold or Amex gold business or any other gold card they should have theft protection insurance. They will replace it. I think that it is up to the price paid though.

 

I did purchase with Amex Gold.....so I will call them

 

amex has very good customer service and very good at this kind of situation. i think you'll be ok. good luck .
