I have seen from numerous posts that the ability or not for the car to present multiple phone numbers for a contact is dependant on the phone not the car.

I have 2 phones and neither will display multiple phone numbers per contact. Both phones work in the car otherwise.

a) Nokia 6131 - latest firmware v6.2 applied

b) Nokia 6230i - suppliled by BMW with the car

Any clues? Do I need to do something in the car to enable the presentation?

In my experiences, Nokia phones don't work as well as others with the E60's phone book transfer. Many Nokia phones only transfer contacts stored on the SIM card, etc. and in my experiences, Nokia phones don't support multiple numbers per contact with the car -- even if the phone does support them...

I have a 2005 545i and I am trying to synch my BB/RIM 8200c (AT&T/Cingular). The synching process works great, but all of my contacts are being uploaded. I confirmed that groups are not good, so I deleted all of those. What isn't working is multiple entries. For some reason only one phone number is listed with each contact. Anyone experience this or know a work-around?

I don't know much about the 8200c -- my 8700c uploads all entries (except fax) for each contact beautifully. I know that most other models also work well and I'd suspect that the 8200c is new enough to work. Maybe there's a software update for the BB that you could install?

Thanks Rudy. I upgraded the software to V4.21 and all of the contacts upgrades automatically once I started the car. I added the IPhone/IBerry theme and love it also. Thanks for the clue.... I didn't think it was a phone problem. I have had my 8700 for over a year now and have never updated the firmware/software.

Glad it worked out for you. From the various postings of BB owners, it's pretty clear that just about every BB pairs wonderfully with the car. The two negatives I remember seeing are the contact groups issue and the memory limitation of the car that prevents large databases from uploading completely...
