Anybody out there have any views on the best Bluetooth phone for the E60. I presently have a Nokia6310i which works fine with bluetooth but the phone is a little bit boring having no camera etc. Also SMS text messaging does not work
I have also contacted BMW direct who have forwarded their latest Blue tooth Compatibility matrix. (See below). Strangley this states that SMS messages should work using the 6310i phone . Does anybody out there have sms messages working with bluetooth

The SMS function works with option 644 for an e39, not on an e60 with I-drive

On my phone pro it works, but I dod't get a beep when a new SMS arrives. Also I can only write them on the handset, not via idrive, but I can read them on Idrive.

All that aside I've been able to get my recently patched 650 to work with my 5 series.
Doesn't work for me. Better to use a phone that is officially supported (of which there are none yet for my carrier, Sprint).
I had mine done a month ago, you should not have any problem with the bluetooth retrofit. Build date on mine is 03/01/04.
Not sure about the treo 650, good luck

mmm it would be useful to keep this bluetooth compatibility in the least possible threads, it was a nightmare for me to find information about all the headseats that are compatible when i was ready to jump in the bluetooth wagon.
how about updating this thread with the new info?
