From what I've seen so far in the news, it looks like today is supposed to be the day the hacking begins...

Wow, man, I am glad I have a BlackBerry. Still thinking of replacing it with an HTC Hero.
Thanks for the heads up Rudy.

Thanks for the heads up. But there isn't anything we can do about it, right?

Other than turn the darn thing off, I don't think so...
I believe the hacker has to know that you have an iPhone + your number. I guess they can always send a blanket msg and hope to hit 1 or 2 and takes how it spreads out.

Carriers were issued phone numbers in large blocks and except for cases where someone ported a number from one carrier to another (which would be a relatively small number anywa) it would be easy to target large blocks of numbers that were known to be AT&T customers. From there, the popularity of the iPhone would make the odds pretty good that some of these text messages would land on an iPhone.

ah ha sucka's I ported my phone number from Sprint that I was issed 5 years ago to ATT for the Iphone. I should be fine. Anyways, what the hell could a hacker do with my iphone anyways? Disrupt my social networking? Email my boss a dirty message?
