My Ride: BMW 530d
Post

Hi all, haven't been here for a long while...

Just upgraded to iPhone OS 3.0 and thought I'd try pairing it to my 2004 530d - I was successful!!!

And it works with full functionality.

When I first got the iPhone, it would seem to connect then disconnect etc etc. Always worked fine with my wife's 2008 120d so I thought it was an issue with my car's older bluetooth version. After many attempts to do something about this, I settled on leaving my old phone in the car permanently, and setting my iPhone to divert to the in car phone when busy.

I had zero trouble with my bluetooth after I upgraded to iPhone 3.0. I have a 2006 530i.

I don't think that's doable with BMW iDrive.

I didn't have to do anything after upgrading to 3.0, the BT just connects my iPhone as usual.
