My Ride: 2006 530i, Jet Black, Tan, Premium, Steptronic
I just picked up my 2006 530 at the dealership on Wednesday and paired my iPhone 3G with the car right in the parking lot. It transferred the address book over straight away. I do have version 2.2 installed on the iPhone. I was highly impressed that it hooked right up.

Just upgrade to (2G) iPhone software 2.2
Happy to say connection now is stable and no more dropouts as before. Full transfer of phonebook

Just picked up my 02/2004 530d this morning. Damn, what a car 
Anyway, i'm trying to pair my iPhone 3G (2.2) to my BMW, but i can't get it to work.
I activate the bluetooth, go to the pairing menu. Then i enable bluetooth on my iPhone and it starts scanning, but it just keeps doing that forever and never finds the BMW. Is it normal that it takes that long to find something or is something wrong?

worked perfectly for me for a while but today the address book stopped working. Just keeps saying please wait. I can still make and receive calls fine. I've tried rebooting both phone and idrive; repairing bluetooth but it still doesn't work. I really don't want to have to restore the iPhone. Any suggestions?

does any1 have problem with the music continuing to play after you're finished with a bluetooth phone call?
my iphone connects well with bluetooth but often would not continue to play music from it after a phone call on bluetooth.
