, i had to go to the trunk and disconnect the battery to reset the idrive because it was not responding at all. I am really consider reversing my iphone to factory again :thumbsdown: .-Erick

do a full restore for your iphone over your itunes. it will also re sync all your songs, photos and such.
Your iphone nightmare just started, you will discover many more iphone problems in the future.
these apple bastard set too many limitations on iphone. Also they remove most negative feedbacks on their forum. if you say something they don't like or against iphone, they remove it.

what good would it be to do a full restore if i have to unlock it again? are you saying that after a full restore and unlock then the name will be gone...

2. try renaming your iphone in your itunes (click on the small iphone icon or hit f2 in windows) a couple of times back and forth. back and forth meaning
naming it another name and something else for a couple times. restart the phone in between.
3. repair the phone with your car.
4. voila. the phone is paired with your correct name.

no my iphone is unlocked and i dont have that problem. it shows as my first and last name in iTunes and iDrive.
