iPhone Bluetooth with 2007 comments

Ok, I don't really care how many people like the iPhone or don't like the iPhone.
I bought one because if it's small black and shiny I need to own it. It's a problem I have. I'm not proud of myself, but it's the way it is.
I have a 2007 530, and I been using the aux port to control my ipod. When I go the iPhone, I paired it via Bluetooth (and removed my Treo 700w). The bluetooth connection is horrible. I have (in EVERY call) a point where the person talking get's dropped. If I switch to the headset that came with the phone, i hear the conversation perfectly.
In addition, I can't get anything from plugging the cable into the iPhone to play songs like it did with my old 80gb iPod.
Oh well...

"You need to ensure that you have a 1/8" plug that properly fits in iPhone's recessed port."
Absolutely correct.
"You may need an adapter to ensure this."
Yes.
OR you can very easily fit virtually all such plugs. Three minutes effort -

I got the bluetooth working fairly well by deleting the pair and repairing it....No issues so far, but I haven't used it much since I'm on vacation in Costa Rica....
I think my aux cable was bad because my 80gib iPod failed as well. I have a new cable ready to test and will post my results.
Thanks,
James
