Is there a way of enabling siri by some kind of button the dash? I really like the way it comes on via the in car bluetooth system and that you can talk to it through the cars mic, it's just a bit of a pain to press the button on the phone to trigger it...

Yea that would be nice. And want to know also but
I still do not understand why it is not possible to wake up the app with you voice rather then pressing the button?
Like 'hey Siri'

It's almost like you want a remote 'home' button wired into the dock.

If I had to guess, it's a power usage thing. The physical buttons actually wake up the iPhone for most functions. You'd have to have the iPhone's chip constantly on/listening in order for it to "wake" for a voice command.

Maybe you are right . It can be a power usage thing but why not just stand by mode?
To push button all the time does not really make a sense to me. Hope that Apple will do it for next iPhone.

For me...a lot of Siri functions do NOT work via my car's bluetooth...it always tells me its having trouble connecting to the network...anyone else get the same response?

Siri works for me, kind of, but it rarely makes out what I'm saying when driving. Must be background noise
