iPhone 4S bluetooth won't pair with 2008 528i
#1
I have a 2008 528i that I've been using both an iPhone 3GS and an iPhone 4 (with iOS 5), and they've worked perfectly. After upgrading to the iPhone 4S, 64GB, I am not able to pair with this phone. Has anyone else had this problem and know of a fix?

Try again, but his time delete all previous pairings, and it should pair up just fine!

Phone sees BMW18454 I hit pair. I enter 1234 on iPhone and in the BMW menu "enter code" appears. I enter number and almost instantaneously it jumps to "Pairing Unsuccessful" ...I try 5 numbers 6 numbers. Nothing seems to work.
I don't get it

Mine did this too. It took me about 15 attempts, and then I realized (after re-reading the manual), that after you enter the code in the iDrive, you have to navigate back up to the return arrow at the top of the menu before you push the controller. It will work then.

Do not let BMW sucker you into getting an unneeded upgrade just to get money out of you. The phone will pair to the idrive. Just read the manual and make sure you are doing it right and take your time.
