iPhone 4 and iTouch problems in F10 550i

I have a late June prod 550i F10 (July 7th - ED) and I am having problems connecting my iphone 4 and iTouch to my car. When I connect using the BMW Y-adapter, I get the playlist and songs; however, I do not get any sound. I connected my ipod classic (80G
with the Apple supplied USB cable and it works great. I tried using the Apple USB cable on both the iphone and iTouch and the car can not read neither device it states "not a supported device". 
I am going to take the car back to the dealer and have them check it out.

My Ride: BMW 525i e60 (private) M-style,, Carbon Black, HUD, MM Interface.
And a BMW 325 e90 (Business),
Could be that you need an adapter. I know Dension makes one but could not find it.

Just a shot in the dark here
i had a problem pairing my iphone 4 with my car
which is unrelated to your issue obviously, but
i performed a hard reset on the iphone and it fixed my pairing issue
perhaps giving that a try may yield some results
i am wondering why you get playlists but no audio
