Yes to all. The bluetooth works, dialing, answering works, phonebook works, the iPhone 3g charges, and the iPhone ipod function works via IDrive.

Can you confirm if steering wheel and/or head unit controls work to control the audio controls on the iphone using the Ridax adapter?

Yes, the steering wheel and voice recognition/control work for both the ipod and the handsfree/bluetooth/telephone.
The only thing you get is the "do you want to turn on airplane mode to reduce interference" when you plug it in; I answer "no" and everything (ipod thru idrive and telephone through bluetooth) works fine. I assume if you put it in airplane mode the phone won't work, but I haven't tried that.
