It fits correctly with no issues with scratching (as recorded on some posts) and it syncs all contacts with the iDrive.
The snap in connector DOES also charge the phone.

Which Snap-in Adapter is this? The latest list from BMW of tested phones states that there is no snap-in adaptor available for the iPhone 3G. I assumed this was because the phone charges using USB rather than Firewire (as the previous gen iPhone used) and BMW had to re-engineer more than the form factor. Is there a dedicated iPhone 3G snap-in adapter released by BMW?
I got the cradle from BMW Cotswold (Cheltenham). They sell cradles on e:bay for ?49.95 buy it now
