I have only just taken delivery of my 525 and when I first collected the car my Motorola V3 logged on to bluetooth with no problems and any incoming calls were routed through the car system. There was a separate in-car ring tone for incoming calls.
However, something has now changed as when I get an incoming call the phone itself rings rather than the in-car system although the car's bluetooth picks up the incoming call and it is shown on the idrive screen.
I actually preferred the in car ring tone when I was driving! Have I done something wrong or does anybody know a quick fix for this?
Thanks for your help!!!

I have a similar issue, though I hear the phone ring for a few seconds before the in-car system picks it up. Quite annoying !

Yes, that's exactly what mine does! But when I first got the car it rang through the in-car system and the demonstrator car I used before also used the in-car ringer.
It is as you say very annoying and if anybody knows how to sort it out I would appreciate the advice.

Yeah - mine worked perfectly at first, but now it has a delay. A couple of times it hasn't activated the in car system at all !

Considering everybody is from UK, I wonder if this is just a problem in the UK?????
Instead of the V3, I am going to try it with my old V600 phone to see if that makes any difference.

535D Sport - it looks like we have pretty similar specifications on our cars - how are you finding it ?

An update.....spoke to somebody in service dept at my local dealer and apparently there may be "issues" with the Motorola V3 - they said that they cannot guarantee full compatibility at this time and therefore there may be the odd glitch.
She said that it may help it you limit the number of text messages held on the phone. That's a new one on me!!
I thought the V3 was fully compatible but I looked on the BMW UK website and they do indeed say it may not be fully compatible. Looks like I'll be getting a new phone after Christmas then...........!!!
