Icon in iDrive changed
For the last few months since i started using BT, the icon for the cell was a triangle.. but a few days after i got my car back from it's first oil service, the icon changed to what looks like a phone (instead of the triangle).. anyone else experience this??
btw, i'm pretty sure the dealer didn't update the CCC, just the other (engine) bus (forgot what it's called).. all the radio settings were still intact, but the date/time settings were reset, and the steering wheel feels tighter after i got it back.. my CCC is at 16.2 and waiting on mp3 support before taking it back for another update.

Doesn't the triangle indicate that you're roaming and the handset icon indicate a missed call?
Andy is correct.

I find that I get the handset icon all the time- missed call or not.

I assume you have cleared the miss call log in iDrive Communications. I failed to do this for several days and wondered what I had, but now know to clear it.

Well, I went back an double-checked- no missed calls. With my car and mobile phone (V330 T-Mobile) if I turn off Bluetooth on my phone, there is no handset icon. When I turn it back on and a Bluetooth link is re-established, the handset icon returns.

Have you tried clearing the missed calls list on your handset? I supposed that could be a possible remedy. For my handset at least, the call logs are only updated in the car for activity that happens while the phone is paired, but perhaps your phone is able to communicate information to the car about its own logs. I mean, sooner or later this should be how it works anyway - I'd be interested to hear if this is the case with your handset.
