My Ride: 2008 BMW 550i Sport
Carbon Black Metallic/Cream Beige
Manny tranny and other stuff
Recently gone, but never forgotten:
2005 Ford Mustang GT (hence the name)
Torch Red/Crimson
Manny tranny and every option available for that year
2002 Chrysler 300M Special
Brilliant Black/Light Taupe/Dark Slate
Autostick and goo-gobs of neat features that I will sorely miss
And, more importantly, is the iPhone fully compatible with our Bluetooth/iDrive system?

I have one ........ the part number is 84.10.9.182.792 and the benefits are that it is being charged by the car
and is connected to the shark fin.

My Ride: Living in Germany as an expat, this is the perfect opportunity to own the car of my dreams. I bought a new BMW E560 Individual in April 2007 and I have been in love with my M5 ever since!
Where else can you experience the acceleration, speed and fabulous performance of this wonderful German engineering, but on the German Autobahns (almost with immunity for high speed as long as you slow down when there are limits). Fastest so far has been 293kmph (183 mph) but my M5 has much more left...I will get it to the limit of 330kmph (205mph) or more yet!
Problem is it makes me want to drive everywhere possible at any oppotunity and I am rackng up the kilometers!

This is an old topic and you can find everything you want to know on the link below. Photos (lots of) and part numbers etc on this link. I have a snap-in for my iPhone and it works great, especially signal boosted by induction connectivity to the shark-fin antenna.
You might have trouble buying a snap-in if you don't live in a country where the iPhone has been officially released. If you have trouble in getting hold of one, send me an e-mail and I might be able to assist.

My Ride: 07' 550i, Jet Black, Sport Pack, Comfort seats, Logic 7, PDC, Nav/Sat - stock for now
I just got mine installed last week and I am not sure I like it 100%. You cannot really dial from it as it is too far back in the console. You basically are stuck with dialling from Idrive or you have to have specific numbers programmed into your phone. On the flip side it nice not too have a corded charger.

Why don't you just use voice dialing? You don't need a number stored in the phone to voice dial. Simply press the voice button and say: "Dial Number". The car will then say, "Please say the number". Then you just say the number and it will confirm, then you say "dial."
