Hi all please forgive me if this has already been done but i couldn't find this info here. I'm a newbie to the site and recently brought a 2005 registered (on a 05 plate for the fellow UK'ers) 525D MSport in carbon black (which to me looks blue ) with half leathers, with 19's M Sport double spoke 172 rims. I'll be honest i'm loving the car, however it doesn't have bluetooth, or nav (previous owner was obviously a tight git) anywho, i ain't that bothered about Nav as i already have TomTom, however i would like the BT but after reading a few posts here i've done some physical investigation on the car and i need to know the following:-
  • Where can i find the production date of the car? Is it on the car or a main dealer question?
  • Are ALL E60's fitted with the TCU/ULF?
  • What's the main difference between the TCU and ULF?
  • I don't seem to have a TCU/ULF! if i don't are the car's built prewired?
  • Does if have to be the Retrofit kit that gets installed OR if i was to source the parts from a E60 being sold for parts with say biz (or pro) Nav is it possible to fir them?

Thanks in advance for any help/responses.

Andi

Oh yeah i also forgot to mention that when you go into communications off the main menu screen it say "No Mobile installed, Call BMW blah blah blah....." so not sure if that is definate confirmation for the lack of ULF/TCU.
