Hi all,
I am quite new here, but searched and did not find what I was looking for, so here I go. Recently I have purchased an E61 (2005) without a bluetooth carkit. I would like to have a fully integrated bluetooth carkit with the idrive system. I have searched around and found 3 interesting kits, the Gateway 500 with BTA1500, Fiscon and Bluelogic. I think the gateway is a bit of overkill, because I only want to have a bluetooth carkit to go with my iPhone 4 and perhaps play an occasional MP3 from the phone. I can't find any difference between the Fiscon and Bluelogic and if the quality of the Gateway is far better, it is still an option for me. Does anyone know the pro's and con's of these 3 carkits.
A good advice will be much appreciated
Thx

Well as far as connectivity goes Dension is the best, AUX, USB, Ipod and BT streaming (and you can extend it to video with the Dension AVR)but might require coding (for sure it will for the BT part). Takes 5 mins if you find someone with an Autologic machine or it can be coded with NCS.
I have the Dension 500 + BTA1500 in my car and its awesome.
I'm not 100% but I think you might be able to install the Fiscon without coding (but it doesn't have the connectivity of the Dension) and I haven't heard anything about Bluelogic other than it exists.

Tip: If you go for the Dension combo buy the Fiscon microphone so you can hide it in the roof trim and make it 100% OEM not that lame mic you get with the BTA1500

Thx for the tip. I was also looking at the microphones, because indeed I wanted to hide it in the roof trim.

the BTA1500 comes with its own mic. But it can be hidden where factory one is. Or you might be able to hack the factory one to work but wouldn't butcher the cables myself.
