Quote: "The SGH-i300 connects to the system via A2DP Bluetooth - allowing for music playback, hands-free calling, and operation of the handset."
Almost finished cleaning the "naughty sauce" off my pants, but basically this means "we" get A2DP profile!!! Unless BMW ends up issuing a hardware upgrade in conjunction with this new integration.

Well, knowing how much of a battery drain Bluetooth is on just my RAZR, I would imagine you'd have to plug your phone in everytime you get in the car if you're using it for music.
If the Denison ICElink ever comes out, then this phone would seem to me the equivalent of an iPod with ICElink -- you have to plug it in, but you get iDrive control, etc.
Then it depends how good the Samsung music store is (I read they're trying to start their own) and what copy protection they use etc. They'll have a lot of work to do to catch up to iTunes and Apple.
Oh well, I'll stick with the iPod for now.

But A2DP support in the 5 series will extend beyond the Samsung phone into other devices as they are produced - meaning future iPods with bluetooth. Fortunately, this shouldn't be something that forces anyone to the Samsung phone.

Lets see how many updates it will take BMW to get this working bug free...

Considering the vendors in question only have to worry about one car and one phone, I'm hopeful.

[/quote]I asked BMW AG in Munich whether or not they will support A2DP some 2 months ago. Back by then they had no plans. After the disaster w/ the ICE-Link adapter I don't believe it only if I have it seen working
