First problem I've had in this car. I got in as usual and after about 20 minutes of driving I tried to pull up the A-Z phone list that gets imported from my SE T637 phone. But what I found was that the phone had disappeared from the list of phones, just like that! Sure enough, I took the phone out of my pocket and noticed that even though Bluetooth was on (it's always on) and handsfree icon was not there - no connection.

Anyway, I had to basically re-pair the phone to the car and then it worked again. Before I did that I made sure to reboot the iDrive just in case. But that didn't do anything.

So my question is how common is this? There could have been times when this could have happened before, but if I didn't use the phone I wouldn't know. I keep my phone in my pocket, Bluetooth on all the time, and don't check to see if it's paired/connected every time I get in the car. Who does? I assume it does. But is that what I need to do now? It seems annoying to say the least. I wish there was a way to check if it's connected w/o having to take the phone out of my pocket and look or pull up the Communications/Phone in iDrive.

All my info is below. I have the lastest software.

To use a line thrown around in every film around that actually sounds completely ridiculous if used in real life:

"I've never been more sure of anything in my life"

My keys. My wife's key has her phone in the list. So it's not that. I have not changed anything, so it looks like a bug unfortunately! But now I'm going to go nuts remembering to check if my phone is connected or not! THAT is the part that bugs me.
